The Business Need:
The customer is a commercial farm located near the NSW/Qld border. The customer had designed a new workshop on their property however this location had no existing access to the power grid/Energex network. The customer wished to have a system that met their current demands as well as future demands as more equipment was installed in the workshop. The cost of connecting to the network was prohibitive for the business. The most cost effective solution for the customer was the implementation of a remote access power system (off-grid).

Installation Date:
The system was installed and commissioned in June 2011.
System Description:
Through analysis and consultation with the customer our team of design and photovoltaic engineers designed and developed a 20kW off-grid solution.
This system comprised of:
* 108 X 190w photovoltaic modules
* 6 X Midnite Classic 150 Charge Controllers
* 2 X Banks of 1900Ah, 48V batteries
* 1 X 20 kVA generator
* 3 X Latronics 7kW inverters
